PSESD Learning Communities Foundation Hires Inaugural Director
The PSESD Learning Communities Foundation is excited to announce the hiring of its first-ever Director, Wendy Armour. With more than 15 years of experience in fundraising and board and staff development and stewardship, Wendy is passionate about helping to eliminate opportunity gaps and supporting success in school and in life for every child.
From formulating development plans and fostering relationships with major donors and corporations, to preparing annual budgets and implementing strategic plans, Wendy has a background of consistent commitment and dedication to managing, achieving and exceeding organizational growth objectives. She is positioned well to dynamically impact Puget Sound ESD.
Wendy has served as Board President and is co-founder of a local nonprofit organization that aims to teach life skills to disadvantaged middle and high school girls. Her deep expertise includes composing grant proposals, promoting services, and educating audiences and prospective donors on racial equity.
Wendy reports jointly to PSESD Superintendent John Welch and the Learning Communities Foundation Board, with her office located at the Educare Early Learning Center. With her record of success in nonprofit development management and navigating large public systems to produce partnerships, we look forward to Wendy contributing to the Foundation’s growth and success!
